Oklahoma City, OK – August 21, 2008 – The world of Reining is coming to an arena near you as National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) North American Regional Affiliate Finals slides into ten locations across the United States, Canada and Mexico. Horse lovers will find thrills and excitement as all levels of reiners from North America compete for the prestige of advancing to the Adequan® North American Affiliate Championships in Oklahoma City, Okla. from November 27 through December 6. These finals will bring sliding stops and fast spins to avid reiners and Reining fans thanks to a host of NRHA North American Regional Affiliate Sponsors.
Ten reiners from each region will compete in 13 NRHA divisions for Rookie and Youth to Non Pro and Open riders. The four highest placing riders, plus ties, in each division advance to the Adequan® North American Affiliate Championship Show held in conjunction with the NRHA Futurity. There, riders will find intense, but friendly competition against the best reiners in the world. During its 10-day run, the NRHA Futurity & Adequan® North American Affiliate Championship Show contributes more than $32 Million to the overall Oklahoma City economy. In addition, exhibitors will compete for more than $1.5 Million in purses and prizes.
The NRHA Futurity & Adequan® North American Affiliate Championship Show attracts exhibitors and spectators from around the globe and includes a trade show, three NRHA / Markel Insurance horse sales, an intercollegiate judging contest, youth activities, and many more activities geared toward enjoyment for the whole family.
NRHA Corporate Partners support the NRHA North American Regional Affiliate Finals and the Adequan® North American Affiliate Championship Show graciously. Pard’s Western Shop, NRHA’s “Official Saddle Maker,” will present a total of 42 custom-made saddles at Regional Affiliate, North American Affiliate and European Affiliate Championships. Cimarron Trailers, “The Official Trailer of NRHA,” provides $2,000 to be awarded through a Divisional Champions Sweepstakes at each North American Regional Affiliate Finals.
