Manerbio, Italy – August 12, 2008 - The British Reining (BR) Selection Committee has officially announced the team members who will be representing Great Britain at the 2008 FEI World Reining Championship which will be held in Manerbio, Italy, on September 11-14. Horse and rider combinations for Team Great Britain are:

Doug Allen riding Jacs Little Sunrise or Hollywood Dun Star owned by Francesca Sternberg;   

David Deptford riding John Faulkener’s Old Vaquero;

Tammy Greaves riding The Magic of Whiz or Jac Wonders Who owned by Patricia Greaves;

Francesca Sternberg riding her own Yelena My Way or Just Gotta Shine.

Reserve:  Mark How riding Mrs Chris Neeld-Leslie’s Animal Magnitism.

“As the team manager, I am fortunate to have five such talented riders available for the team. I am very grateful to all the owners for making such excellent horses available. All the riders are used to competing at the highest possible level, and this experience will help us achieve our potential in Italy.  The riders will now focus on preparing the horses to peak on the 11^th of  September, when the competition starts in Manerbio,” said Adam Heaton, British Chéf d’Equipe, commenting on the selection.
