Oklahoma City, OK – April 10, 2008 – The National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) is proud to announce Oklahoman Krissy Colbath has joined the staff of the NRHA Reiner magazine as Assistant Editor.
Colbath has a Bachelors of Arts degree from Oklahoma State University and is working on her Masters of Liberal Arts degree at Oklahoma City University. At Oklahoma State, she was involved in the Block & Bridle agricultural organization and was instrumental in bringing the equine component to the primarily livestock club.
Colbath is originally from Ponca City, OK, but now lives in Yukon, OK. She is an avid horsewoman who began showing in 4-H at an early age. In college, Colbath enjoyed Endurance riding and now trail rides for fun all across the state of Oklahoma. She said she’s always been impressed by Reining. “I have always admired the Reining horse industry. It is the closest bond of any discipline you can get in the relationship between horse and rider,” said Colbath.
As Assistant Editor for the NRHA Reiner, Colbath’s duties include copy editing, fact checking, and making sure all the “Is” are dotted and “Ts” are crossed before the magazine hits members’ mailboxes. She said she’s thrilled to be working for the Reiner and it’s a dream come true to be working in the industry she truly loves.
