10.08.07 - World-Class Reining Returns to Colorado

Denver, CO – October 8, 2007 – Denver and the National Western Complex welcome the return of The International Reining Festival. The proud home of the NRHA Mountain Region Affiliate Finals, Challenger’s Cup Invitational Freestyle Reining, Mile High Derby and the Stallion Select Futurity, The International runs October 17-21.

With a vision of supporting the reining industry locally, regionally, nationally and internationally, The International Reining Festival promises to be one of the “don’t miss” stops on the 2007 show circuit. Building off of the overwhelming success of the 2006 inaugural event, The International Reining Festival continues to set its sights on the future of our sport.

Athletes (both horse and human) from all corners of the globe will once again convene in Denver, Colorado, to participate in this world-class equestrian event. Organizers expect thousands of spectators and hundreds of horses to take part in The International.

The International offers more than $100,000 in prize money over five days of competition ranging from Green Rookie to the Mile High Derby. In addition to the prestigious Challenger’s Cup Invitational Freestyle, The International offers the Stallion Select Futurity and a full slate of lucrative ancillary classes. Beyond competition, The International will once again host a large trade show, numerous hospitality events as well as outstanding spectator experiences, making The International one of the finest equestrian sporting events in the nation.

Denver is famous for its enthusiastic reining fans. The International will attract the industry’s top reiners, building the Challenger’s Cup Freestyle Reining into an evening of thrills and excitement. Don’t miss the $10,000 Challenger’s Cup Invitational Freestyle Reining October 20 at 7pm. Tickets start at $8, and are available online at InternationalReiningFestival.com or by phone at (866)-464-2626.

Crucial to the NRHA qualifying process, The International Reining Festival offers reiners from affiliates in the Rocky Mountain region a chance to compete at the 2007 NRHA Futurity & Adequan® North American Affiliate Championship Show in November.
