03.28.07 - 2007 NRHA Derby Media Announcement — Free Live Streaming Video Comes to the Derby

From action packed video of Reining, to FREE live streaming video, to beautiful still photos of the competition, you’ll find world class photographers and videographers capturing all the Reining action at the 2007 NRHA Derby.

The National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) has chosen three outstanding professionals to handle the photography, videography, and live streaming video at the 2007 Derby. The Derby is the NRHA’s prestigious event for four, five and six year old horses. This year’s event runs May 14-19 at the Oklahoma State Fair Park in Oklahoma City.

The NRHA has named Mike Garner, PhD of Video Horse World the official videographer of the 2007 NRHA Derby. Video Horse World has been videotaping major horse events since 1982. Garner says they’re the official videographer for most of the major horse shows in the country. He says he’s fortunate to add the NRHA Derby to his list. “I’m very excited to be able to videotape some of the most exciting equine performers in the country.â€

The NRHA also has good news for many fans of Reining who can’t travel to the Derby this year. You’ll be able to enjoy live streaming video for FREE! Alan Taylor, Founder and CEO of HorseAuctions.com will handle the live streaming video of all the Derby competition. Taylor is no stranger to video streaming. He says HorseAuctions.com is the oldest commercial equine website in the nation. He began the company in 1996 and started webcasting in 1998. Taylor adds, “I’m very excited to work with the NRHA. With the addition of the NRHA, we now stream three of the largest performance shows in the nation. Webcasting has exploded for us this year. We’re gonna be webcasting close to 400 sales and shows this year.â€

David Patterson, NRHA Director of Marketing and Communications says, “The NRHA is fortunate to have this opportunity to add both of these gentlemen to our media team for the Derby.â€

NRHA Hall of Fame member Dick Waltenberry is famous for his unforgettable photos of Reining caught in a moment of time. The NRHA is also happy to announce Waltenberry, Inc. will return to the 2007 Derby as the official still photographer. Waltenberry is known throughout the Reining world as an excellent and professional photographer.

Sponsorships for the FREE live web streaming are still available. If you’d like more information, contact Kristin Hincke, NRHA Sales Representative, at 405-476-5348 or khincke.nrha@yahoo.com.
