At the August 2006 NRHA Board of Directors meeting in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the NRHA Board of Directors approved Keith Bradley, Bowling Green, Ohio, for induction into the prestigious NRHA Hall of Fame. Keith is known as the ‘Voice of NRHA,’ and an icon in the Reining industry. He’s been a fixture at NRHA’s major events for the past 38 years.
Reiners love his distinctive voice, inflection, tone and meaningful hesitations when announcing. Their dream of winning a class at the NRHA Futurity or Derby always includes hearing Keith’s “The Score …” as they walk from the arena. Those two words are truly indicative of the anticipation every rider and spectator feels when Keith is at the microphone. Bradley even inspired sculptor Doug Israelson to name his bronze, presented annually to rider of the NRHA Futurity Open Champion, “The Score …”
According to NRHA Executive Director Dan Wall, “The NRHA Derby and Futurity just wouldn’t be the same without Keith. Reiners around the world have come to expect his distinctive voice at our major events and we aren’t about to disappoint them. When Keith proclaims his trademark “The Score …” he creates a frenzy in the stands, reminiscent of any of the biggest moments of any sporting event! For the riders, it’s a validation of a job well done and for spectators; it’s tantamount to history in the making. Everyone goes home to their part of the world knowing they’ve experienced a legend doing what he does best, while watching the greatest riders and equine athletes in the sport of Reining do what they do best.”
Keith will join others in the NRHA Hall of Fame whose contributions have forever and positively changed the face of Reining.
Keith Bradley will be formally inducted into the NRHA Hall of Fame at the 2007 NRHA Convention in St. Louis, Missouri, February 13-18. Please make plans to attend and join in the celebration.
