The National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) Board of Directors recently approved National Association Affiliate (NAA) status for the ANCR Brazil and the Italian Reining Horse Association. With only one Affiliate per country able to be recognized as a National Association Affiliate, the criteria for NAA status are substantial and the issuance of an endorsement by the NRHA Board of Directors should be considered one of the NRHA’s highest achievements.
“These National Association Affiliates have committed to join together to promote Reining around the world, which will help ensure the continued growth and stature of the sport worldwide. It’s a win-win situation for the entire Reining industry and community,” said NRHA President Dell Hendricks.
Among other conditions, each National Association Affiliate includes at least 25 NRHA members in good standing as a portion of their membership roster, and they have committed to the production of a minimum of four NRHA-approved shows annually. Those National Association Affiliates with at least 100 NRHA members will have representation on the NRHA Board of Directors.
The ANCR Brazil and the Italian Reining Horse Association join these other NRHA Affiliates that were granted the NAA designation earlier in the year: NRHA Belgium, UK Reining, Dutch Reining Horse Association, NRHA Germany, Reining Canada, Austrian Reining Horse Association, NRHA Israel, Swedish Reining Horse Association and NRHA Switzerland.
These latest additions increase the total number of Regional, National Association and International Affiliate Program participating Affiliates to 96.
The National Reining Horse Association has more than 13,000 members and 575 NRHA-approved shows annually worldwide.
