The National Reining Horse Association has designed a prestigious program that will acknowledge NRHA Affiliates who achieve a level of excellence on an annual basis.
“We recognize that the Affiliates are the foundation of our sport by promoting and growing Reining at the grass roots level,” said Debbie Drinko, NRHA Senior Director of Affiliate and Alliance Programs. “We are pleased to be able to reward those NRHA Affiliates offering educational opportunities such as seminars and clinics, as well as effectively communicating NRHA Affiliate programs to their membership.”
The “Gold Star Affiliate Program” encourages all NRHA Affiliates to increase their level of achievement. To be eligible for Gold Star status, Affiliates must meet the program’s requirements each year. Requirements for the Gold Star Affiliate Program began January 2006, with the first Gold Star Affiliates receiving recognition at the 2007 NRHA Convention.
By complying with the program’s requirements, Affiliates earning Gold Star status will receive recognition not only on the NRHA website and in the NRHA Reiner, but also at the NRHA Awards Banquet, held during the NRHA Convention.
Affiliates will also receive an award designed specifically for Gold Star Affiliates. In addition, use of the official NRHA Gold Star Affiliate logo will be granted for Affiliates to use on their logo merchandise, advertising and club publications. Preferential NRHA show approval will be given to Gold Star Affiliates.
Once the Gold Star Affiliate Program is in place, NRHA may add a reward’s program for Affiliates achieving the highest level of excellence or for Affiliates who continually maintain Gold Star status.
“NRHA relies heavily on our Affiliates to serve as the liaison between the NRHA and our members,” said Drinko. “The Gold Star Affiliate Program will reward those Affiliates that excel in relaying information from the NRHA to their membership.”
