10.17.05 - NRHA Offers “Finish for 15” Membership Program

The National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) launched a membership campaign that begins immediately and will offer Reining enthusiasts the opportunity to join NRHA for $15 for the remainder of 2005.

“Finish for 15” was approved by the NRHA Executive Board recently in an effort to provide new programs and opportunities to as many interested individuals as possible.

One new opportunity is the new American Horseman Alliance (AHA) medical insurance plan, which is unprecedented in the equine sports world, affording NRHA members in the United States affordable medical insurance for themselves and their families, regardless of age, gender or occupation. There is only one prerequisite to the plan – one must be an NRHA member.

Other benefits that come with a new NRHA membership include a coupon for $25 off of a pair of Anderson Bean Boots, complimentary bags of Purina® horse feed to members within their distribution area and participation in NRHA events.

NRHA has also initiated the International Affiliate Program, which unifies the efforts of International Affiliate Associations and the NRHA to grow the sport of Reining through joint NRHA membership and NRHA-approved shows worldwide.

Through this program, NRHA will grant National Association Affiliate status to those International Affiliates that meet membership, approved show and reporting requirements. Each National Association Affiliate will be recognized as the organization to provide governance and leadership for the sport of Reining on a national level. In return, NRHA will rebate to the National Association Affiliate 50 percent of NRHA show fees for every NRHA-approved show that is held within the respective country’s borders and $20 for each NRHA member that resides in that country.

“The “Finish for 15” program is a great opportunity for NRHA Affiliates to attract new members,” said Dan Wall, NRHA executive director. “With the new Corporate Partner buying discounts, the member-only access to the AHA medical Insurance Plan and the opportunity to participate in the International Affiliate Program, there are more reasons than ever to be an NRHA member. In fact, the Corporate Partner buying discounts alone more than pay for the membership fee.”

“Whether you have an interest in Reining or are just a horse enthusiast, chances are you wear boots, buy feed or need medical insurance,” said Wall. “If you are a reiner, you certainly should want to help support your National Affiliate Association.”
