The first ever Hungarian qualifier for 2005 FEI World Reining Masters Series was held in Kapsovar, Hungary, on May 21st with a second CRI held on June 4th and a third on July 9th. With a total of 21 points, Csermak Istvan took the lead and gained a spot in the 2005 World Reining Masters Series finals presented by the Arcese Group and the Italian Equestrian Sports Federation (FISE). Csermak was seen riding his six-year-old sorrel quarter horse gelding Dunnit Like A Badger, an own son of Dunnit Like A Cowboy and out of Pepita Cuff Lynx (by Peppy San Badger).
Fay Kata, a young Hungarian rider who represented Hungary in the 2005 FEI European Reining Championships, will be the reserve for her country with a total of 18 points gained in CRI competition aboard her mount, Crazy Proffessor.
The finals of the prestigious competition will be held on Saturday 25th September at 9 p.m. The schedule is posted on the 2005 FEI World Reining Masters Series official website: www.euroreining.com.
The FEI World Reining Masters is a competition defining the best individual reiner each year. It is based on qualifying the best reiner from each NF for a final event which alternates between the USA and Europe. The finals offer a $75,000 Open and a $25,000 Restricted division. The first is open to all riders, the Restricted division is only open to those Countries who did not qualify for the finals at the 2002 World Equestrian Games (WEG) held in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, therefore U.S.A, Canada, Great Britain, Italy and Germany are only be able to compete in the Open division and will be allowed to send two riders, all other countries are eligible to compete with one qualified rider.
