Jeannette Kraehenbuehl left her mark in Oklahoma City last year in November when she won the gold medal in the 2004 FEI World Reining Masters Restricted Division aboard Arc Golden Boy. With a total of 95 points earned in FEI approved CRI competitions held in Switzerland this year, the 2004 NRHA Non Pro Reserve World Champion will once again represent her country in the second edition of the FEI World Reining Masters Series presented by the Arcese Group and the Italian Equestrian Sports Federation (FISE). The last Swiss CRI was held in Wangi on July 30th and was won with a score of 144.5 by Jeannette aboard her 9-year-old gelding by Surprise Enterprise and out of Arc Topsail Lady, Arc Golden Boy. Reserve honors went to Judy Baumeister who, riding Top Boggie Sail, scored a 143.5.
The finals of the prestigious competition will be held on Saturday 25th September at 9 p.m. The schedule is posted on the 2005 FEI World Reining Masters Series official website: www.euroreining.com.
The FEI World Reining Masters is a competition defining the best individual reiner each year. It is based on qualifying the best reiner from each NF for a final event, which alternates between the USA and Europe. The finals offer a $75,000 Open and a $25,000 Restricted division. The first is open to all riders, the Restricted division is only open to those countries who did not qualify for the finals at the 2002 World Equestrian Games (WEG) held in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, therefore U.S.A, Canada, Great Britain, Italy and Germany are only be able to compete in the Open division and will be allowed to send two riders, all other countries are eligible to compete with one qualified rider.
With over 20 countries expected to participate, reiners worldwide have qualified, or are getting ready to qualify, for the second edition of the $100,000 FEI World Reining Masters Series presented by the Arcese Group and the Italian Equestrian Sports Federation (FISE) in collaboration with the National Reining Horse Association (NRHA), the Reining Horse Sports Foundation (RHSF) and the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA).
