06.07.05 - RHSF Rookie Day Acquires Presenting Sponsorship From Classic Equine

Longtime NRHA Corporate Partner Classic Equine has taken their NRHA corporate partnership to the next level by committing support to the RHSF Rookie Day program.

Classic Equine is synonymous with quality equine sports products, and rightfully so. Recently, they renewed their commitment to the National Reining Horse Association for an additional three years, making Classic Equine one of the longest running NRHA Corporate Partners. But Classic Equine went beyond simply renewing their sponsorship. Besides becoming the presenting sponsor of the Rookie Day program, Classic Equine will present awards at the North American Affiliate Regional and European Affiliate Finals as well as the NRHA Derby and Futurity, according to NRHA Director of Marketing and Communication Lisa Garza. With their recent Corporate Sponsorship renewal, they will now be known as the “Official Equine Sports Medicine Products of the NRHA”. “We are excited about the new RHSF Rookie Day Program and NRHA Affiliate Programs that allow Classic Equine to team up with the NRHA to help support and grow the great sport of Reining,” said Ken Bray, Vice President of EquiBrand, the Parent Company of Classic Equine. On behalf of all of us at Classic Equine, we are proud to be a corporate partner with the NRHA. We admire the association’s dedication to making the sport of Reining better for all,” he continued.

Rookie Day is a clinic for entry level riders or “Rookies.” Riders spend “one–on-one” time with clinicians comprised of some of NRHA’s top reining trainers. The ‘best of the best’ lend a helping hand at Rookie Day! After the clinic portion, riders compete in a Rookie class to try out their newly learned skills. In its first year, the event raised over $10,000 and continues to successfully support the RHSF Crisis Fund. In 2005, three Rookie Days are scheduled with Classic Equine as the Presenting Sponsor. They are scheduled in Woodside, California, June 7; East Sussex, Great Britain, August 1-2; and July 16th in Ardmore, Oklahoma, the site of the first Rookie Day in August 2002.

The Mission Statement of the RHSF Crisis Fund is; Assist NRHA members who have experienced sudden and demonstrable hardship, disaster of a severe and unexpected nature, or from a serious physical illness. This is done in the spirit of reiners helping reiners. With its support, Classic Equine becomes an important part of the equation – Classic Equine helping reiners.
