05.05.05 - NRHA Members Gain In A Big Way From New Land O’ Lakes Purina Feed LLC Programs

Mention livestock feed or nutrition and inevitably Purina is one of the most recognizable brands that come to mind. NRHA members are bound to think of Purina more often than ever in 2005, as Land O’ Lakes Purina Feed LLC becomes well-known throughout the horse industry as the Official Equine Feed Sponsor of the NRHA. The new programs they are supporting will affect virtually every member, from the grass roots reiner to the high profile professional, and will become an important benefit of NRHA membership. According to Lisa Garza, NRHA Director of Marketing and Communication, “This sponsorship is the most comprehensive and unprecedented to date. It encompasses every aspect of the NRHA!”

“Purina Mills is excited about the opportunity to work with the NRHA and their members. We look forward to providing programs and promotions that will benefit NRHA members and the regional NRHA affiliates,” said Eric VandenBos, Director of Equine Marketing. “As the leader in horse nutrition, Purina Mills has a passion for providing high quality feed products that help equine athletes and their owners perform at their very best. The fit for Purina Mills as a sponsor of the NRHA is a natural one. NRHA members strive to perform at their very best in their horse related activities. Purina Mills products and the sponsorship of the NRHA organization can help them get there.”

The development of the VIP and Affiliate Circuit Series programs and partnership can be attributed to Nancy Shearer, Equine Events Coordinator for Land O’ Lakes Purina Feed LLC. NRHA members will be advised of the benefits and program conditions by mail beginning May 15 when Purina will send correspondence to all U.S. members. “We are very excited to have Purina Mills join our family of Corporate Partners. In addition to being one of the most recognizable and widely accessible nutrition companies in the industry, they back that up with extensive research and continued dedication to product development,” says Dan Wall, NRHA Executive Director.

Visit their website, www.purinamills.com, and you will see in print the company’s philosophy, which has remained constant for more than 100 years. “Our strong sense of responsibility to animals and their owners is reflected in the unconditional quality of our feeds, backed by years of extensive research in the area of animal nutrition.” Since its debut in 1894, Purina Mills has grown to be the largest animal nutrition producer and distributor in the United States. More than 4,000 Purina dealers are working together toward one goal: “Creating Customer Satisfaction.”
