01.04.05 - It Was Just A Matter Of Time!

It’s official.  Hollywood Dun It, owned by McQuay/Easton LLC, has raised the bar once again, becoming the first stallion in NRHA history to achieve Four Million Dollar Sire status.  The dun 1983 son of Hollywood Jac 86, NRHA’s very first Million Dollar Sire (1993), and Blossom Berry, became a Million Dollar Sire in 1997. No one can dispute the fact that since then his offspring have helped their sire redefine and dominate the reining horse breeding industry.  Hollywood Dun It set records when he became the first stallion to reach the Two Million Dollar Sire (2000) and Three Million Dollar Sire (2002) titles.  In 2000, Hollywood Dun It joined his illustrious sire in the NRHA Hall of Fame.  It was fitting that the person most associated with Dun It, Tim McQuay, was inducted that same year as well.

With McQuay in the saddle, Hollywood Dun It was a standout in the show pen before he became phenomenal in the breeding shed.  Partnered with NRHA’s Leading All Time Money Earning Rider, he earned the 1986 NRHA Open Futurity Reserve Championship and the 1987 NRHA Derby Championship as well as the Superstakes Championship. With more than $65,000 in NRHA Lifetime Earnings, “Dun It,” was then retired from the show pen to rewrite the history books in the breeding shed.

A true ambassador for the sport of Reining and a household name throughout the performance horse industry, Hollywood Dun It’s accomplishments as a sire are a result of his offspring’s talent, athleticism, and great minds. To date, Hollywood Dun It offspring have earned more than $4,036,000 in NRHA events.  Their success transcends every NRHA Category, division, and event. From Rookies to Non Pros to Million Dollar Riders, the Dun Its are appreciated by reiners worldwide, part of personal resumes, scrapbooks, and NRHA history.
