11.29.04 - Horses And Riders Officially Welcomed In Oklahoma City For The FEI World Reining Masters Finals Presented By NetJets

As the NRHA Futurity & North American Affiliate Championship Show continues, horses and riders showing in the FEI World Reining Masters Finals were officially received for the FEI general horse inspection.

Sixteen countries worldwide held one or more CRI Qualifiers for the first-ever FEI World Reining Masters Series Presented by NetJets and of these, six riders actually shipped their horses over from Europe.

Frank Costantini, President of the FEI Reining Committee, Dr. Kim Sloan, NRHA President, and Trigg Rentfro, FEI Reining Development Director, officially welcomed riders and owners to Oklahoma City.  “This event has brought the international community together and we would like to congratulate all those who qualified for this important and competitive event,” said Costantini.  “These riders are making history and we appreciate the efforts made to be here.”

Prior to the finals, which will be held on Thursday December 2, at 7.30 p.m., the Oklahoma City Convention & Visitors Bureau will be hosting a luncheon for the FEI World Reining Masters Finalists at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum.  The official FEI World Reining Masters Finals Draw Party is scheduled for Wednesday December 1st at 6:30 p.m., at the Embassy Suites, OKC, and on Thursday, December 2nd at 6:30 p.m., a reception hosted by the Presenting Sponsor, NetJets, will be held at the Oklahoma State Fair Arena Cantina.

The FEI World Reining Masters was made possible by the Presenting Sponsor NetJets and the support of the Classic S Ranch, NRHA, AQHA, and the Reining Horse Sports Foundation.    NetJets is known to be the world’s leading provider of fractional aircraft ownership which allows individuals and companies to buy part of a private jet at a fraction of the cost of whole aircraft ownership, and guarantees availability seven days a week, 365 days a year.  In 2003, the NetJets Europe Fleet and the NetJets US Fleet together flew more than 250,000 flights to more than 145 countries.

NRHA is proud to host the first-ever $100,000 FEI World Reining Masters Finals presented by NetJets, which is being held in conjunction with the NRHA Futurity & World Championship Show, November 25 - December 4, 2004.  The world’s best reiners will meet in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to represent their countries in this historic and much anticipated International event.
