In 2003, Kelle Smith, Belle Center, Ohio, bested 151 entries to win the Cinch NRHA Non Pro Futurity on See Ya At Seven, owned by Kelle’s husband, Sam Smith. Kelle’s reward for a week’s worth of competing was the champion’s paycheck: $35,000. The $50,000 added Cinch NRHA Non Pro Futurity guarantees its winner $35,000!

The Cinch NRHA Non Pro Futurity offers two additional divisions based on rider’s earnings: the $15,000 added Intermediate Non Pro and the $5,000 added Limited Non Pro. There is also a Prime Time Non Pro Division for riders over the age of 50 and the NRHA Gelding Incentive Award for the highest scoring geldings in the competition.Â

In 2003, Quincy Cahill, Madisonville, Texas, earned the Intermediate Non Pro Futurity win on Boomon N Seven, earning over $15,000 for her efforts. Cassie Simpson, Phoenix, Arizona, rode Breezy Lena to the Limited Non Pro Futurity Division win and earned $5,281.72. Multiple Non Pro Futurity Champion Dr. Jim Morgan, DVM, earned $1,104.16 for his Prime Time Non Pro Division victory on Hesa Dun Smart Listo. This three-year-old earned an additional $7,666.68 as the highest scoring gelding.

The 39th annual NRHA Futurity & Championship Show runs from Thanksgiving Day, November 25 through December 4 at the Oklahoma State Fair Park in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
