Sandi J. Pence, National Reining Horse Association Director of Events, announced that the 2005 NRHA Convention will take place February 9-12, 2005, in New Orleans, Louisiana. The host hotel, Hilton New Orleans Riverside, is well known for its plush accommodations, delicious food, and convention amenities. Newly renovated, it is a full service luxury complex that is described as a ‘city within itself.‘  The Hilton New Orleans Riverside sits on the banks of the Mississippi River with easy access to everything New Orleans has to offer, including Harrah’s Casino, Aquarium of the Americas, Imax Theater, The National D-Day Museum, the Arts District, the Louisiana Children’s Museum, the Riverfront Streetcar, and the French Quarter.  For those who like to shop, The Riverwalk Marketplace (140+ shops and food outlets) is at the hotel’s doorstep. Just 30 minutes away is Six Flags Theme Park. 

 

But of course the best part of the Convention is the opportunity to visit with friends, attend great lectures, interact with your peers, recognize the newest NRHA Hall of Fame inductees, voice your opinion in committee and membership meetings, support the RHSF through its auction, and cheer on the award winners that are recognized at the Awards Banquet. 

 

Plans are underway for booking lecturers and speakers, planning receptions, and everything else that we’ve come to enjoy at our Convention.  As new details are finalized they will be posted on the NRHA Web site www.nrha.com.
